Pleasing God with our worship

Coalo Sometimes we think God is pleased with our "way of worship" whatever, and we have confused the fact WORSHIP with ways of worship, when really there is only one form of worship to God.

In Genesis 4, verse 1 to 4, we see a very interesting event, God as a family, Adam and Eve, conceived two sons, Cain and Abel, and in this story we see that Cain worked the soil, while Abel was working with the cattle. One day brought an offering to offer to God, that was his way of bringing worship, Cain gave an offering of the fruit of the earth, and Abel brought the best of his flock. In verse 5 we see that God is not pleased to Cain's offering of Abel but if you like it, I wonder why? ... Very simple, the ONLY way that God was pleased with an offering was through bloodshed .

Because of Jesus who shed his blood for us we do not have to sacrifice anything, and there was a sacrifice, but this does not mean that God does not continue looking for people to worship him as he wants.

In John 4:23 says that God is seeking true worshipers will worship him in spirit and truth, that is, with his life. Many have made the mistake of thinking that worshiping God is singing very loudly, or leave your hands up for 15 minutes without stopping! We believe that if we do these things God is pleased with us.

In 1 Samuel 15, we see a very sad story, where we can really understand what God wants, and wants us to worship Him ...

The prophet Samuel came and gave a statement to King Saul from God, telling him at a city and kill everything you find there, from children, women, even the cattle, he told her not to let anything or one alive. If we read the chapter we see how this story unfolds, but Saul is disobedient, capturing the king of that city, to spare his life, and also a part of the flock. Verses later we see that Saul is back with the king of that city, and also with "the best" of livestock. Later the prophet Samuel is with King Saul and start speaking, then, the prophet Samuel realizes that Saul had disobeyed the Lord's command. The king tries to excuse himself, he begins to blame the soldiers, saying they had brought the cattle to offer as an offering to God.

Very interesting, they wanted to worship God, to bring his offering, his sacrifice, his sacrifice, however Samuel King asks something that we must ask ourselves every day: "What do you like most to the Lord, who offered sacrifices and burnt, or to obey what He says? ".

God is looking for people who want to live a life that pleases God, people who are willing to worship with your heart, your being. There is no point to make sacrifices, burnt offerings, if our heart is not obeying its laws. The next time someone offends you, before I answer the same way, you have a very good opportunity to worship God! Forgive, Amel. When you and a car driving through it and throw the car you would like to think over how to worship God in that situation.

I encourage you to live a life of worship, to be people that we are always looking for ways to worship God with our words, our attitudes, our actions, so that we can see and fully enjoy the blessings God has for us.

Let worshipers who worship Him in SPIRIT and TRUTH.

1 Response to please God with our worship
  • My dear and beloved Coalo not know you in person but
All well and good sermon that my comments contribute to building

My comment is just about the first paragraph where you say:

"God is not pleased to Cain's offering of Abel but if you like it, I wonder why? ... Very simple, the ONLY way that God was pleased with an offering was through bloodshed."

There is a small detail. you too you fell into the trap of many and you went out the offerings. I'll clarify a bit: Until the flour (2 liters of flour were sufficient for the expiation of sins see biblical basis) therefore erroneous reason that Cain did not present blood sacrifice
If you look at the text verse Gen 4:5 God first look at Cain and did not look pleased and look after their offering recalls that when you bring your gift or what God ofescas think in your case that your praise BEFORE offer it to the Lord first saw already reviewed or after you hear your heart
That is the detail and the safest (I say that what is not written is that Cain was a face or expression of envy or jealousy when he saw his brother's offering was better than him, ie reflected what he felt his heart and what God saw his heart was first You can not offer something to God reluctantly agreed

    Biblical Base

    Lev 5:5

When sins in one of these things, confess that they sinned,
Lev 5:6 and for the Lord will bring atonement for his sin he committed, a female from the flock, a lamb or a goat as a sin offering and the priest shall make atonement for his sin.

    Lev 5:7

And if he be not enough for a lamb, bring to the Lord in atonement for his sin that he sinned, two turtle doves or two pigeons, one for a sin offering, and the other a burnt offering.

Lev 5:11 But if he be not enough for two turtle doves or two pigeons, who sinned shall bring an offering one-tenth of an ephah of fine flour for a sin offering. Do not put oil on it or put incense on it, because it is atonement.
God bless you and prosper your ministry
